A Practice Rooted In Nature
Hi, I’m Kat, the artist behind Kat Samaha Ceramics, based in UAE.
My work is rooted in a deep love for nature - its colours and textures. My particular focus is working with real plants gently pressing them onto clay to capture their natural textures and forms. Many of the plants I use are gathered from different parts of the world, each holds its own meaning, so every piece I create carries a memory and a story.

Sustainability is an essential part of my practice. Recycling water in my studio, separating clean water from clay sediment allows me to reuse water for my work and water my plants.
